Your Thoughts, Words and Actions Will Create Your LifeMay 08, 2020
Many, many years ago I would sit and stare into space and just wonder … wow, look at those clouds. Look at how safely and smoothly they are moving. I always wanted to be up there. Of course, later on I discovered that I had a fear of heights.
But I love to fly. I love to travel and always had big dreams.
One of the things I want to share with you today about those big dreams is I want you to understand that you are in control of your life. You also have the power to create the life you desire and deserve. Most importantly, you have everything you inside of you change as you see fit.
The sad part about it is that most of us tend not to do it that way. I also want you to accept the fact that your thoughts are very powerful because they influence what you think about, words that you use, as well as some of the actions you take.
I want you to pledge that you believe your thoughts are indeed based on your beliefs, but they are also under your direct control. In other words, forget about your naysayers, forget about your relatives, and forget about the critics.
You can choose to think about anything that you want. So, I want you to think about this …
Choose to think thoughts that move your life only in positive directions.
You see, you are always going to have a lot of negative influences out there, so you have to maintain that degree of positivity. I always try even though I don’t succeed all of the times that whatever words I speak, they are going to have a very powerful effect.
Not only on the people around me but mainly on me because at the end of the day most people really don’t care whether you succeed or not.
And, in terms of conversing with most folks, most of them aren’t even paying attention – not even listening to much of what you say because they really don’t have that credibility factor (aka believe in you).
So you have got to set that level.
Always use your words to your advantage.
Do that simply by suggesting to that subconsciousness of yours, which is a powerful tool that we tend to abuse … by saying the wrong thing which results in negative consequences.
You should suggest often that you are creating the life of your dreams mainly by the words that you speak to yourself.
I remember many years ago … around 2002 time frame … I was sitting in my home office and had received a package – really did not understand exactly what it was all about. Yet, I did remember ordering it – it was these cards that suggested self-talk is a dangerous thing unless you know exactly who you are talking to.
I had a hard time understanding that concept … in fact it took me a couple years to fully figure out what it meant and accept the fact that it was indeed true.
Once I did and realized the saying that we were taught as kids that sometimes we should be concerned about what we say to each other or what we say to ourselves because who knows … we could be listening.
There used to be a lot of non-safety in that area but now things have changed. It is safe and it is okay and you should talk to yourself sometimes. But just don’t get carried away because once you implant those thoughts in your subconsciousness you will really have to accept that will be the life that you are going to live.
Lastly, I want you to understand that your actions have the greatest impact on your life.
Each day is an opportunity to choose actions that can drive you toward or away from your goals. You have to choose, especially if you have goals – which you should, that you only want to do those things 95% of the time that ensure that you are getting closer to your goals.
Accept the fact that when you fail to act, you are not going to make any progress … it is just that simple
For example, if you go to a restaurant and just sit there looking at the menu … do you think you will ever get the food? Probably not. So, you have to act if you want to make progress in your life.
Again, positive, effective actions create the greatest results. So, please … strive to take intelligent actions each day.
As we end, please pledge …
